Klarer Verlierer: das arktische \u00d6kosystem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seit sich die k\u00fcstennahen \u00d6l- und Gasvorr\u00e4te ihrem Ende zuneigen,  versch\u00e4rft sich der Wettkampf um Bohrlizenzen in arktischen Bohrfeldern.  Rund 22 Prozent der unerschlossenen \u00d6lvorr\u00e4te weltweit sollen in der  Arktis liegen. Ein ungehobener Schatz f\u00fcr die \u00d6lbranche: Russland,  Norwegen, Kanada, <abbr title=\"United States of America\" lang=\"en\">USA<\/abbr> und D\u00e4nemark sind begehrte Verhandlungspartner geworden.<\/p>\n<p><q>Der Hunger nach \u00d6l kennt offensichtlich keine Grenzen. Mit diesem  Joint venture ist die T\u00fcr zur Ausbeutung einer der letzten noch intakten  Regionen der Erde aufgesto\u00dfen<\/q>, kommentiert J\u00f6rg Feddern, \u00d6lexperte bei <span lang=\"en\">Greenpeace<\/span>. M\u00e4rz 1984 lief der \u00d6ltanker Exxon Valdez  auf ein Riff vor Alaska.  40.000 Tonnen Erd\u00f6l liefen aus und verseuchten  die unber\u00fchrte Natur. Hunderttausende Fische und V\u00f6gel verendeten im  \u00d6l, tausende S\u00e4ugetiere starben. <q>Die \u00d6lkatastrophe des Supertankers  Exxon Valdez vor \u00fcber zwanzig Jahren war ein Warnschuss f\u00fcr Exxon Mobil.  Noch heute sind die Folgen dieser Katastrophe zu sp\u00fcren<\/q>, so  Feddern. An der K\u00fcste und auf dem Meeresboden finde man immer noch  giftiges \u00d6l, berichtet der \u00d6lexperte. Der Grund: Bei niedrigen  arktischen Temperaturen baut sich Erd\u00f6l nur extrem langsam ab, teilweise  wird es durch groben Sand und Kiesel \u00fcberdeckt und konserviert.  \u00d6laufr\u00e4umarbeiten sind lediglich in der kurzen arktischen Sommerzeit  m\u00f6glich, danach machen die dicken Eismassen jeglichen Versuch zunichte.  Feddern fordert: <q>Die Arktis muss unter Schutz gestellt und den \u00d6lkonzernen deutlich die Grenzen aufgezeigt werden!<\/q><\/p>\n<h3>Grenzenlose Risikobereitschaft<\/h3>\n<p>Mit Tiefseebohrungen gef\u00e4hrden Konzerne wie Cairn Energy l\u00e4ngst die  arktische Meeresumwelt. Der gro\u00dfe Wurf ist bisher noch keinem gelungen.  Jetzt hofft Exxon Mobil, mit Rosneft das gro\u00dfe Los gezogen zu haben und  \u00fcbernimmt daf\u00fcr die Kosten der teuren Tiefseebohrungen; der russische  Partner d\u00fcrfte sich im Gegenzug \u00fcber den Zugang zu modernster Technik  freuen. Dass die jedoch h\u00e4lt, was sie verspricht, zweifeln  Umweltsch\u00fctzer an und verweisen auf den \u00d6lriesen <abbr title=\"British Petroleum - \u00d6lkonzern\">BP<\/abbr>. Der bekam im Jahr 2010 auch mit Geld, Booten und Personal die handgemachte \u00d6lpest im Golf wochenlang nicht in den Griff. Auch <dfn title=\"\u00d6lkonzern\">Shell<\/dfn> konnte j\u00fcngst seinen vergleichsweise kleinen \u00d6lunfall auf der Nordsee-Plattform <q>Gannet Alpha<\/q> keineswegs zeitnah beheben. <span lang=\"en\">Greenpeace<\/span> fordert von den \u00d6lkonzernen, ihre Krisenpl\u00e4ne \u00f6ffentlich zug\u00e4nglich zu  machen. Die Exxon-Kooperation mit dem Kreml d\u00fcrfte kaum zur Transparenz  im Tiefseegesch\u00e4ft beitragen.<\/p>\n<p>Rosneft ist f\u00fcr Exxon Mobil kein unbekannter Gesch\u00e4ftspartner:  Gemeinsam beutet man bereits seit den 1990ern die \u00d6lfelder um die  russische Pazifik-Insel Sachalin aus.
